Well worth it if you can get a discounted cost. Obtained it when amazon experienced a deal, to use with my more mature ryobi software set which came with nicad batteries. The old batteries are not holding their demand nicely now so it was good to be equipped to get alternative batteries at a lowered rate. I wouldn't have paid the comprehensive value, too high priced for occasionally utilized instruments. The new batteries are also lighter - a bonusat initial i failed to charge up the new batteries, not realising that it 'clicks' into the charger rather than just rests in it. If you just put it into the charger without pushing it down until it clicks, the charging light-weight however arrives on but it does not charge. This is a minor design fault, i do not recall studying about the want for the 'click' in the instruction e-book.
